Look what mommy made!

I got a wild hair last night while in Walmart (I understand Walmart has that effect on people, I don't normally frequent the store, but I was looking for dill weed - a SPICE, not my husband) and thought I'd take a look-see at what other things they might have there.

I passed by the fabric part of the store - and saw this really cute sun hat pattern, which I've been wanting to get one for Coby - so I thought I'd take a gander at the fabrics. I LOVE the bow in the back of it!

Yah - I'm not a good fabric-picker-outer, according to my kids, the outfit (color pattern) makes her look somewhat clown-like - but I think the hat is ADORABLE!

And although I made the dress reversible, I don't think we'll ever use the striped side, cause, yah - too clown-like - I wish they hadn't said anything cause I liked it until I related it to a clown.

I didn't know what fabric to do the bow on the back of the hat with - so I made two bows, and just turned this one into a headband...

ANYWHOOOOO - the emerald buttons (on her shoulders) belonged to my "Grandma" (great great aunt) Nancy who I miss dearly! So now the dress is special to me - cause it has gramma's buttons on it!

And - Ross couldn't help but take a picture of his new punk rocker son playing guitar hero! HAA! Kind of fitting!

I can't believe you made a hat and dress last night!! This coming from the person who said I must not have enough kids because I made some burp rags for her. You may need some more kids. My boys are for sale.

That hat is SO CUTE! I just love those sun hats!!! I made a dress just like that using red with white polka dots on one side and white with red on the other, my most favorite dress ever!!! I didn't know you sewed so much or had so much time to sew to begin with...

Wow!! That outfit is just scrumptious! I love both the stripes and the dots and think they go well together...so bright and summery!

I'm really impressed that you made that in one day, too.

Very cool about he buttons, too.

You made that? I didn't know you could sew! And just whipping it out in one night, very impressive. Adorable!

WHAT?!!! Who is this person? I didn't know my friend Heidi was a sew-er (not to be confused with sewer as in sewer pipes) and a crafter!!

Looks fantastic! And you have how many kids???? Wow, you blow me away!!! :)
