We went to the ice skating rink for the syncro party. All the kids joined in - it was good fun for the first 5 minutes. I tried to tell Howie that if he went a little faster, it would be easier to stay up - apparently that didn't work, since he fell flat on his face & gashed his eyebrow open.
Everyone at the rink was pretty impressed with me, as I sent one of the parents next door to walmart to get me some superglue. Saved me $500 ER bucks! I glued it shut and he went back out skating in no time at all! He's better this morning, although, he might have slept funny on it, cause it looks like the outer edge opened back up?
Either way - he proudly holds his scar and shows everyone who comes over.
"Toe Pick" So here's the update - he was running around and with it being humid - that opened back WIDE...
so I took him in and got some stitches. (sorry about the quality - the wide open gash was the only one I had the "real" camera for, the others are my camera phone. He got 4 stitches. And again - he's just thrilled about it - initiation into manhood. Right now the doctor glued some kind of band aid stuff on it so it stayed dry - sadly, he couldn't go swimming at the year end swim team party. We took him out for a sugar high instead. Good parents.

Doc told us today Ethan will definitely have his scar for life. Sigh. I'm so glad I already got his 3 yr old professional pics taken without it, to remember him by!
