Not that I have such a huge following on my blog that I anticipate changing how the whole blogging community arranges their blogs, but I feel the need to...uh...vent about how some of my favorite bloggers have music on their blogs.
So when I start to read those ever-intriguing words of my fellow bloggers, I get a cool song in the background, and unbeknownst to me, I read that someone's daughter is "somewhere over the rainbow"...or how someone wants to move into a different home where they need to be at work from "9 to 5." I can't read and listen at the same time.
Just ask my kids. One of them - (not sure which one, I just remember faintly hearing a voice a minute ago) said something to me about something and then I heard something about detention and 3rd referral...? hmmm, must have been Howie. I should probably go check on that.

And before I had google reader I used to open several blogs at once...and I would have like 5 songs going at the same time. Drives me nuts! Plus when my kids hear the music they always come running to see what it is and I want them to stay away...LOL
LOL! It always scares the HECK out of me when it starts because my kids turn my speakers up when they're playing games.
Can you just mute the computer while you peruse blogs? That's what I do much of the time, unless I feel in the mood to listen to everyone else's tunes!! :)
Depends on my mood, sometimes I turn it up, sometimes I turn it off (the speakers). But are you saying you don't LIKE to hear my music? Don't make me put something obnoxious on there just for you, like "I'm too sexy for my shirt" or "Ice ice baby". Try having THAT visual...
I mute it all too. Hard to pretend I'm doing school work when music starts up! ;)
I used to have music on my blog, and then took it off because I realized how bad I hated looking at blogs with music I either hated, or a song that annoyed me. I guess if everyone had my same music taste, I would enjoy music, but I found myself always hitting the mute key.
That's me too. I can't read and listen when I'm not prepared for it. And I hate it when I've already started reading a couple paragraphs when the music suddenly loads and the sound is up way too loud! Ack!

ok, i have to agree. I had it on my blog for a while too and found that i kept muting everyone else's when i would go to their blogs, so i took mine off too 'cause i thought it was annoying. I even would mute mine while i was on it.
Sing it, sistah! I'm not a fan, either.
